Guidelines / General Instructions for KindHeart Scholarship Program Beneficiaries and Prospective Students

KindHeart Scholarship Program Application Form

This form is intended solely for the use of students applying to the KindHeart Scholarship Program and is strictly for administrative purposes within the program. This scholarship is for students from less privileged backgrounds who have no one to sponsor their education. If you aren’t in this category please quit now. Prior to filling out the form, please ensure that you have already secured admission to a higher education institution and have a Jamb score of 190 and above. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates from Imo State Nigeria who are affiliated with the Catholic Diocese of Orlu. We assure you that your responses will be handled with the utmost confidentiality, and your information will not be shared with any third parties.

The KindHeart Scholarship Program, established in late 2017 in Los Angeles, California, USA, is a distinguished international scholarship initiative. Our overarching vision is to contribute to the education of bright students hailing from underprivileged backgrounds in Nigeria who would otherwise lack access to formal education. Our mission is to nurture their intellectual development, character formation, and spiritual growth, fostering their transformation into well-rounded scholars, individuals of integrity, and exemplars of virtue.

We implore you to recognize the privilege bestowed upon you as a participant in this program and wholeheartedly commit yourself to adhering to its principles and guidelines. By doing so, you will have the opportunity to reap the immense benefits it affords and maximize your personal and academic growth.

 COVERAGE:

The KindHeart scholarship program considers the need of the student to determine what he or she needs. While some students may be entitled to partial sponsorship, others may be entitled to full sponsorship. Basically, the scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, and books,  for the entire duration of studies. 

 ACADEMIC POLICY

To maintain eligibility for this scholarship program, it is mandatory for every student to uphold a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 or 4.0 on a scale of 5.0 or higher each semester and academic year. Failure to meet this requirement will lead to a reduction in the scholarship coverage. Furthermore, if a student’s GPA falls below 3.0 or 4.0 for a second time, the scholarship will be automatically withdrawn.

To reassess eligibility, every student beneficiary is required to submit their academic records after each academic year. The prescribed format for the academic report can be downloaded from the designated section of this page. Please ensure to attach the original result sheet and forward all documents to our email address

 ACCOUNTABILITY 

Every payment made to the school, any institution, or business enterprise must be duly recorded, and the receipts submitted to our bookkeeper. Any undocumented payment may be treated as fraudulent. Any inflation in the amounts requested will lead to an automatic dismissal from the school and cancellation of all scholarship privileges. In addition, the student involved in any fraudulent act must reimburse the amount defrauded and return any items purchased for the purposes of schooling or face the wrath of the law. Be responsible in the way you spend money, and keep your records at all times. 

RESPONSIBLE AND EXEMPLARY LIFESTYLE

We hold high expectations for every student enrolled in this esteemed program, both within and beyond the campus grounds. It is of utmost importance that participants uphold a strong sense of responsibility in their actions. We unequivocally condemn any form of examination malpractice, involvement in cultist activities, or immodest dressing. Instead, we encourage all students to embrace their role as responsible children of God, fostering a prayerful disposition, actively participating in campus Masses, and shining as beacons of light to inspire others.

Format For Requesting Funds

The request must be sent as an email to Kindhearttoserve@yahoo.com. N.B Remember to indicate in the subject section of the email, the reason for the request. E.g. Accommodation Fee. In the body of the email specify the Name: ************* Department: ********* School:*********** Semester: ********* Date: ********Day, Month, Year. Finally, List the items and their prices vertically and calculate the total cost.

Send your request to kindhearttoserve@yahoo.com,  *with a subject title on the subject section* of the email indicating the reason for the request. Copy the email on WhatsApp to our bookkeeper for record purposes and approval. Minimize international phone calls. Contact us only when necessary, respecting the time difference. We are committed to the constant improvement and standardization of our processes here.
