A POEM
How lovely are you, beautiful light of the night sky! How admirable is your brightness that lights up the dark earthly abode of men.
Children play their moonlight games because of the sweet rays of your light. Parents tell the tales of the past as your rays sweep the ground at night.
Adults stand still in admiration, waiting to see you each new month. We have neither electricity nor touch lights but your rays light up the dark paths as we return home from work.
You radiate the beauty of creation and remind us that your Maker is more beautiful than you oh bright light of heavenly life.
Oh bright Moon on the night sky, throw your light to lighten up my heart. How I wish you to remain in the night sky each day, week, and month without disappearing. I feel bereft when you aren’t there, but joyful when I behold you.
If only I were a bird to fly to the sky where you are, I would remain forever close to you.
The stars surround you to adore your beauty. The earth revolves around its axis to make your bright rays seen by the poor and the rich.
How hard it is for the blind to see your beauty but you illume their hearts with joy unseen.
Oh bright Moon of the night sky, darkness gives way when your presence manifests. Darkness shrinks as your rays pierce the night sky.
I will forever be grateful to your Creator. How I long to behold your beauty even after my life here on earth passes to the beyond. I will forever be glad, as I hope to see you soon.
